Tlayishego Pebane, Jessica Matsie, and Miracle Khosa are the forces behind The Fashion Concepts ZA, and together, they are building a platform that fuses style with substance, and purpose with passion.

A Community in Need of Light

Like many rural towns in South Africa, Acornhoek faces deep-rooted social challenges. Alcohol abuse continues to disrupt families and futures. Teenage pregnancy cuts short the dreams of too many young girls. HIV/AIDS and other illnesses place heavy burdens on households already stretched thin. Opportunities for positive recreation are scarce, and young people often find themselves with few outlets for their creativity and ambition.

It is against this backdrop that The Fashion Concepts ZA emerges—not just as a fashion show, but as a beacon of hope. In a community where negative influences often dominate the narrative, this movement dares to offer something different: a platform for self-expression, discipline, and pride. For the first time, Acornhoek will witness an event of this kind—one that celebrates local talent, promotes healthy living, and gives young people a reason to dream beyond their circumstances.

Tlayishego Pebane: The Visionary Trailblazer

Born and raised in Moloro Village, Tlayishego Pebane is a man of many dimensions. With a graduate certificate in Nature Conservation and Environmental Student from the Southern African Wildlife College , he may seem an unlikely candidate to lead a fashion movement—but that’s exactly what makes him so compelling. Tlayishego embodies the fusion of earth and elegance, nature and narrative. His rise in the pageantry world—crowned Mr Mpumalanga Public Choice, 1st Runner-Up 2024, and Mr Universe Tourism South Africa 2024—was just the beginning. It was during his reign that he birthed The Fashion Concepts ZA Projects Fashion Shows, a bold platform where young creatives can express themselves, connect with opportunity, and redefine what it means to be a leader in fashion.

“This platform wants to promote local designers and give them an opportunity to showcase their talent,” says Tlayishego with quiet conviction. “My dream is to bring back the old glory days of fashion culture and runway. We want to show our young people that there is another way—a positive way—to express themselves and build a future.”

Jessica Matsie: The Community-Centered Creative

From Greenvalley, Acornhoek, Jessica Matsie brings a heart for people and a mind for development. As a Development Studies graduate and the former face of Acornhoek Mall 2023/2024, Jessica’s journey into fashion was always rooted in community. Her passion for empowering models and designers began organically—through collaboration, mentorship, and a genuine desire to uplift those around her. Today, she serves as a director of The Fashion Concepts ZA, ensuring that every show, every designer, and every model is given not just a platform, but a voice.

“We see the struggles of our community every day,” Jessica reflects. “But we also see the talent, the resilience, the beauty. This event is proof that Acornhoek’s young people can create something powerful and positive. We are not waiting for change—we are becoming it.”

Hailing from Maromeng village, Miracle Khosa’s love affair with fashion began in 2018 and has since blossomed into a career marked by grace and grit. With titles like Miss Acornhoek Mega City, Miss Bushbuckridge, and Acornhoek Top Model under her belt, she has walked the runway with confidence and purpose. But it’s behind the scenes where Miracle truly shines. As a former modeling instructor with Little Glam Modeling Academy, she has dedicated herself to grooming the next generation of talent. Now, as part of The Fashion Concepts ZA organization team, she continues to shape the future of fashion in Acornhoek—one model at a time.

“When I work with these young models, I see myself in them,” says Miracle. “I know what it’s like to grow up here with limited options. But I also know that discipline, mentorship, and believing in yourself can change everything. This platform gives them something to aim for.”

Coming Soon: The Garden of Eden Project

These three trailblazers are joining forces to present The Fashion Concepts Za Garden of Eden Project—a showcase of creativity, culture, and couture like never before. The event will feature a special Designer Feature: Welcomes MAS BY MM, the brainchild of Masechaba Mohlala, whose brand promises to deliver runway fashion, entertainment, and mocktails with flair.

Set to unfold on a vibrant red carpet afternoon, the Garden of Eden Project is more than just a fashion show—it’s a celebration of local talent, youth empowerment, and the unstoppable spirit of Acornhoek. In a community where alcohol-fueled gatherings are often the only social outlet, this event stands apart as a family-friendly, substance-free celebration of creativity and pride.
